Sound Management of Chemicals

  • The GEF-7 ISLANDS project through the generous funding from the Global Environment Facility, was signed at the World Environment Day celebrations in Fuvahmulah City, between the Ministry of Environment the United Nations Development Programme in the Maldives.

The new project will build upon our ongoing efforts - to reduce the risk of Persistent Organic Pollutants (POPs) and hazardous chemicals on human health and the environment. By the end of the projects, the sound management of over 500 tonnes of hazardous wastes is envisioned.
