UN Maldives Youth Strategy
Launched by the UN Secretary-General in 2018, it is the umbrella framework for stepping up its work with and for young people across the UN’s three pillars – peace and security, human rights, and sustainable development. It seeks to significantly strengthen the UN’s capacity to engage young people and benefit from their views, insights, and ideas. It seeks to ensure the UN’s work on youth issues is pursued in a coordinated, coherent, and holistic manner.
In line with Youth2030, the aim of the UN Maldives Youth Strategy will be to centre young people as full-fledged partners in building a better world for all. To do so, the global scorecard on Youth2030 will be the measure against which progress towards achieving the national level UN Youth Strategy.
