Situational Analysis of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities in the Maldives.

The Maldives ratified the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD) in 2010 and has since established progressive legislation to ensure the protection of the rights of persons with disabilities. Nonetheless, translating international commitments and normative frameworks into practice at a national level has proved to be a significant challenge.
